Chuan Spa In Melbourne Is Here To Soothe Your Soul
The best part of Chuan Spa Melbourne is that it is inside a five star hotel, The Langham Hotel which is situated at Southbank.
I was a bit apprehensive that the staff would be a bit snobby but they were all lovely. The receptionist at the spa was very welcoming.
I loved the Chuan Spa Melbourne premises once I stepped inside. It was calm and quiet and soothing.
The way the treatments work is you fill out a survey and from your answers they determine what element you are.
The elements are Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth.
Once your element is decided then they know which room they should have your treatment in.
I turned out to be Wood.
My room was all dark wood which suited me just fine. The treatment I was to have was the Chuan Stone Therapy. This is where they use hot and cold stones to massage your body.
I had seen it so many times that I finally had to try it and I am glad I did.
I have never had a massage before and was a bit worried that I might not like it. Consider this one is a full body massage too. Also having very sensitive skin I was concerned my skin would react to any oils used.
I had nothing to fear.
The massage was divine and the warm stones hit all the right spots as did the cold ones. The oils moisturised and softened my skin and I was in seventh heaven.
The brochure said that my yin and yang energies would be balanced. Well while they were balancing I was in a state of nirvana. I felt such total calm and peace.
Once the treatment was finished I was led to bed in the relaxation lounge area pictured left where I came into a state of awareness. It was like coming back down to earth.
The environment is like a cocoon that protects you while you rest your soul and recollect.
I went into the change rooms and had a shower as my body was oily from the massage oil. My therapist came to see how I was doing after a little while which I appreciated. It is nice to feel like you are being taken care of.
I did not want to leave but my treatment was over and it was time to go.
I had a little issue with my credit card. But the receptionist was so lovely and gracious. It was quickly resolved and I was very happy.
The only problem I had was the table being too big. I am not a very tall person and I found I did not have enough support between my head and shoulders.
My shoulders kept sliding down I had to do all I could to keep my shoulders on the table which left me with a bit of a sore neck when I was done.
Otherwise at Chuan Spa Melbourne I was ecstatic with the service, the spa, the treatment and the people.
